In today?s This Was 2016 post I?m sharing five of my favorite make-up discoveries of 2016. Take a look!
5. Morphe Banana Powder
Kicking off the list is the Morphe Banana Powder, a yellow-tinted setting powder that has everything I could ever ask for. The yellow tint subtly brightens up and evens out my complexion on no-foundation days while the silica-based formula mattifies shine and keeps my skin’s crazy oil production under control.
4. Coastal Scents Hot Pot Eyeshadow
A friend introduced me to the Coastal Scents Hot Pots this year and I am soooooooo glad she did! There’s a huge range of shades to choose from and the quality is absolutely fab, especially knowing these eyeshadows are only a 1.95 USD a pop.
3. Kiss Me Sunkiller Super Lasting Base SPF 50
I got the Kiss Me Sunkiller Super Lasting Base SPF 50 while we were living in Japan last spring and ever since I got it I’ve barely worn anything else on my face. Unless it’s for the blog or a special occasion I go foundation-free and only wear this awesome perfecting base with some mattifying powder on top. And that’s it. Easy does it!
2. Makeup Geek x Manny MUA Eyeshadow Palette
My favorite eyeshadow palette of 2016 – and of all time for that matter – is without a doubt the gorgeous Makeup Geek x Manny MUA Eyeshadow Palette. Just look at those colors! They couldn’t be more ‘me’. Love, love, love ’em!
1. MAC Quite Yummy Soft Serve Shadow
My absolute number one favorite make-up product this year is the MAC Quite Yummy Soft Serve Shadow. I just love everything about it. The bouncy cream formula, the fall-out free application, the intense pigmentation, the impressive longevity, the color,… PERFECTION!
