It takes me FOREVER to write skincare reviews like this one with multiple products, but that is only because I have never been one to give a brief overview. I am sometimes sickeningly long-winded, but when I like or believe in a skincare product, I as an educated consumer want to know what sets this skincare product apart from the others. I adore skincare so while I would never wholeheartedly dedicate my life to just one brand, there are brands that I keep in what I call my "911 Skin-mergency Kit" when my skin needs a break, repair or reboot. These are products with ingredients that I have complete confidence in and set my skin back to the "happy" setting.
Bella Aura Skincare has been making its way onto beauty blogs since the beginning of this year and I find myself very lucky to have been able to review and experience the full five product routine for almost two months. Created in Canada by Yasmine Jones after experiencing severe skin issues, Bella Aura's secret lies in a proprietary blend of botanical oils comprised of: argan, cactus, neroli, and nigella also known as "Kamilah" meaning "complete" in Arabic. Yasmine has a bit of story that led to the creation of Bella Aura, but it was a visit to Morocco that led her to what I think is one of the best and "cleanest" skincare lines on the market (see here).
One thing I should mention about all Bella Aura products is that they have a great natural scent. Each product smells initially like argan oil and then it slowly evolves into something more therapeutic. There is a very long list of what Bella Aura DOES NOT use in their products and phthalates or artificial fragrances are one of them! The packaging is black glass which gives a sleek luxurious appearance AND keeps the products as fresh as possible as clear bottles are a no-no for natural ingredients and essential oils.
