First things first: I think all complexions are beautiful. Whether you?re a fair-skinned princess or a bronzed belle, all skin tones are beautiful and I?ll be the last to tell anyone they?re too pale or too dark. That said, I personally do think I look better with a bit of a tan. Like most people I?m a bit darker in summer and I personally prefer that look on me. I guess I?m just the type for a tan and when I lose too much color I just start to look washed out. And that is why in winter I sometimes treat myself to a little sunshine from a bottle, just to boost my color a bit and keep my tan alive. Let?s have a look at the self tanners that I?m currently using!
LIERAC Sunific Self Tan Tinted Gel
I first tried the LIERAC Sunific Self Tan Tinted Gel in the summer of 2015 and now, one and a half year later, I?m still a fan.
I love how smoothly the lightweight gel textures glides onto my face and how subtly and gradually the formula boosts my color. The tanning effect slowly builds up after several days’ use and the result always looks super natural, so if you?re worried about overdoing it or looking like a carrot I?m sure you will love the LIERAC Sunific formula as it’s so fool-proof. I only wish there wasn?t so much fragrance in the formula, but I guess it?s either that or dealing with the off-putting smell of DHA.

Banana Boat Summer Color Self-Tanning Lotion
For my body I?ve been using the Banana Boat Summer Color Self-Tanning Lotion which is, without a doubt, THE best-smelling self tanner I?ve ever tried. Yes, there?s fragrance in the formula, but again that?s just the trade-off you have to make with self tanners. The lotion goes on nice and smoothly without staining my hands and the formula noticeable darkens my skin after a single use. I?m sure that if I used it several days in a row I?d get super dark results, but since that?s not what I?m after I only use the Banana Boat Summer Color Self-Tanning Lotion...
