I've been going through my skincare bits like a bolt of lightning - I must have used up more than seven products until now since summer. From three L'Occitane body oils (Aromachologie, Almond Supple Skin and Shea Fabulous), L'Occitane Shea body souffle to Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse, Dr.Hauschka Day Cream, all of my shower gels (I am having a real Balea moment), Body Drench Raspberry body scrub, all of my L'Occitane hand creams, Garnier micellar water, grapeseed & hazelnut oils which I used to remove make-up, Oskia Renaissance Cleansing gel etc.
After all that skincare clean-up, I was left pretty much without a cleanser. I still have left some of my Alpha-H Balancing mild and creamy cleanser but I need something more heavy duty for make-up removal purposes. After much consideration, I've decided to repurchase my beloved Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micelle Solution 500ml (aka micellar water). It's the best one I've ever tried, by far. Gentle towards sensitive eyes yet extremely effective at removing stubborn mascara and long-wearing foundation. Leaves no sticky residue, has no funky smell and the 500ml bottle will see me through the end of year, perhaps beyond.
After sweeping my face with this micellar gem, at night I like to go over with a second cleanse and for that I usually use the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Foaming cleansing gel. I've used up probably bottle number nine or something and felt like I'm ready for a slight change. That's why I opted for Bioderma Sebium Purifying Cleansing Foaming Gel 200ml. Right off the bat, I'll tell you what I dislike about it in comparuson to my LRP fave - it gets used up more quickly.
It's of a bright blue coloring, fruity fresh scent and a bit runny texture. One pump does my entire face and the product itself isn't wasteful, I just think a bigger packaging would be a more suitable offering without slapping a higher price tag on this one. It isn't ace at removing eye make-up but it's quite good for a refreshing second cleanse ...
